ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES

A change in the quality or quantity of any environmental factor which directly or indirectly affects the health and well-being of man in an adverse manner. It can also be defined as the effect on the climate of human actions, such as the burning of fossil fuels (coal, oil and gas) and large-scale deforestation, which cause emissions of large amounts of 'greenhouse gases' mainly carbon dioxide to the atmosphere.

 

CAUSE

One of the causes of environmental issues is global population growth that has lead to increasing pressure on worldwide natural resources including air and water, arable land, and raw materials, and modern societies which contributes to an increasing demand for the use of industrial chemicals.
